The Washington Wizards will not trade All-Star shooting guard Bradley Beal at the NBA trade deadline, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Multiple teams have inquired about Bradley Beal this season, but Washington has never budged on their stance to keep Beal on the roster.

Bradley Beal is having the best season of his career this year for the Wizards. The sharpshooter entered Wednesday averaging a career-high 24.8 points per game while shooting 46.9 percent from the field, 35.4 percent from beyond the arc and 79.4 percent from the free-throw line.

Beal is also averaging 5.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists. He's become the main option on offense with star point guard John Wall out for the season. Wall could also miss all of next season.

The Wizards have been active on Wednesday. They traded Otto Porter to the Chicago Bulls for Bobby Portis and Jabari Parker, and sent Markieff Morris to the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for swingman Wesley Johnson.

Washington is 22-32 on the season, 10th place in the Eastern Conference. There's still a chance the team can make the postseason and the additions of Portis and Parker will surely help. The Wizards, though, are only going to go as far as Bradley Beal will take them.
