The Washington Wizards managed to shock the NBA by taking down one of the three-pronged leaders of the league, managing a spirited 125-118 comeback win against the LA Clippers. Yet the Wizards remained irked by the recent cloud swarming over them after their practice feuds became a storyline for the public eye.

According to David Aldridge of The Athletic, players are miffed about their recent altercations becoming a public matter.

“There’s still an undercurrent of angst around this bunch. My guess — and, it’s not a guess, really — is that players aren’t all that thrilled that their arguments/verbal altercations/why-I-oughtas got out in public Monday, with John Wall’s cussout of Scott Brooks and subsequent fine among the gory details now in the public square.”

Bradley Beal was vocal about his displeasure with this profanity-laced practice saga, reminding reporters that practice is private and what happens within closed doors, remains within closed doors.

Beal got into it with newcomer Austin Rivers over a foul call, followed by backcourt mate John Wall beefing with veteran Jeff Green, as president Ernie Grunfeld and coach Scott Brooks became casualties of the line of fire during the altercations.

The dysfunction in Washington was no secret to those familiar with the league, but now it has become a league-known fact — one that was closely followed by rumors of Beal and Wall being the latest on the trade block, should teams come calling.

The Wizards had tried to stay away from putting either of them in trade conversations, but a poor start to the season got ownership rethinking the direction of this franchise, as they're bound to pay major tax dollars for a subpar product in the near future.
