Not even a month after Paige announced her incoming departure from WWE, her first post-federation booking has already been announced for this fall, and it’s at a promotion that should hold plenty of sentimental value for the star.

On October 15th, the soon-to-be once again known as Saraya will be at World Association of Wrestling’s Fightmare IV at the Norfolk Showground. Those familiar with Paige’s career and upbringing would know that WAW is owned by her parents, Ricky Knight and Sweet Saraya, as well as her brother Zak Knight, who, of course, were all portrayed in the film Fighting with My Family.

While the announcement states that Saraya will be “stepping back into a WAW ring for the first time in over a decade,” it also asks fans to stay tuned to see what exactly she will be doing at the event.

While Paige has been away from a WAW ring for over a decade, she also has been away from in-ring competition in general since 2017, when a neck injury disqualified her from wrestling. In a time where wrestlers are coming back to the ring both after years away, see CM Punk, and after a debilitating injury, see Katsuyori Shibata, seeing Saraya also back in the ring would be amazing to see – assuming she is healthy, of course, something Saraya herself believes she can do.

While Paige’s lack of a non-compete clause enables her to wrestle anywhere once her release on July 7th takes place, and we very well may see her in a different promotion’s ring before October rolls around, it is nice to see her first announced appearance be with WAW, and it should be exciting to see her potentially fight with her family once more.
