On Tuesday, the 92nd Major League Baseball All-Star Game was played at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California. The New York Yankees sent six players to the Midsummer Classic, the most in the majors. Among them is the front runner for American League MVP at the break in Aaron Judge.

Judge struck out in both of his plate appearances, but the American League won their ninth consecutive All-Star Game regardless. Judge's Yankees teammate, Giancarlo Stanton was named All-Star Game MVP as he hit a monster 457-foot two-run home run, helping the AL to a 3-2 win.

After the game, Judge was asked about what it was like playing for Dusty Baker. Baker is the current manager of the reigning American League champion Houston Astros.

“It was great. Been a big fan of Dusty for years. I grew up being a Giants fan. Watched a lot of games that he managed. It was a great experience all-around,” Judge said.

It was a very candid answer and one that you should expect. That comes despite the clarity Aaron Judge has always provided when he talks about the Astros-Yankees rivalry that goes back to the cheating scandal from the Astros. But Baker was not a part of that team.

He is a future Hall of Fame manager. He managed the Giants from 1993 to 2002, winning the National League pennant that last year. Unfortunately for him, the Giants lost to the Anaheim Angels in the World Series. He went on to coach the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds and Washington Nationals before joining the Astros in 2020. It is very understandable for Judge to be a fan. Most people in the baseball world are.

Baker has won over 2,000 career games as a manager.
