Denver Broncos minicamp is underway, and the team has plenty to figure out before the start of the season. The Broncos have a quarterback battle going between Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater that might not be determined until right before the start of the season, and the Aaron Rodgers rumors still loom.

Even so, the rest of the roster is rather stout. The front office has done a great job building a solid defense along with a plethora of offensive weapons. Even the offensive line has improved as the big guys up front aim to have a much better season in 2021. Although that is true, the Broncos are in one of the toughest divisions in football. The AFC West could have two and possibly even three teams make the playoffs this year, and the Broncos hope to be one of them.

For that to happen, though, the team is going to need some help from their young prospects. The quarterback position is a bit wonky, but if the rest of the team can elevate their game and stay healthy, the Broncos could find themselves in the playoff hunt late in the season.

In terms of potential rookie standouts, there are two who have the potential to make some noise right away, with one on offense and one on defense. Here are two hidden gems on the Denver Broncos roster.

Seth Williams

Coming out of Auburn, Seth Williams joins an already stacked receiving corps in Denver. Many believed Williams was a solid prospect heading into the draft and were surprised that he fell to the sixth round. At 6-foot-3, Williams has the size to be a mismatch problem for opposing defenses and could be a red-zone target as well.

He'll have to earn his playing time, though, as Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, Tim Patrick, and KJ Hamler lock down the top four spots for the Broncos right now. He might get his start with special teams, but Seth Williams is definitely someone to keep an eye on, as he could wind up earning playing time if Patrick or Hamler struggle throughout the season.

Williams is a seasoned collegiate athlete, as he played 33 games during his time with the Auburn Tigers. He racked up a career total of 2,124 yards and 17 touchdowns through the air, making him a legitimate weapon in the passing game.

Baron Browning

Drafted in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Baron Browning aims for a legitimate rotational role immediately in Denver. According to ESPN, Browning is already listed second on the depth chart behind Josey Jewell at inside linebacker. He'll likely need a year of playing off the bench before he becomes acclimated to the professional level, but Browning could turn into a solid linebacker down the road.

Browning spent four years playing for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He didn't collect many career tackles during his collegiate career, but he proved to have a nose for the ball during his senior year. In 2020, Browning finished with two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, two pass deflections, and a sack. In 2019, he had five sacks and 11 tackles for loss. Keep an eye on Browning, as he could develop into the Broncos' preferred rotational linebacker throughout the 2021 campaign.
