The Los Angeles Dodgers are coming off a World Series title and improved the roster even more in the offseason. They were heavily favored to dominate the regular season but got off to a slow start. Luckily for the Dodgers having so much talent payed off as they have picked it up as of late and sit at a record of 38-25.

They have gotten into a rhythm and are primed to make another deep playoff run. In free agency the Dodgers added the Cy Young award winner Trevor Bayer on a 3-year, $102 million contract. If the Dodgers can make a few moves they will be ready to compete for another World Series.

Here are the 3 best trades the Dodgers need to make before the MLB Trade Deadline.

3. Relief Pitcher Ian Kennedy

Ian Kennedy has been a bright spot in a down season for the Texas Rangers. The Rangers sit with a record of 24-40 which is last place in the AL West. Kennedy has a 2.53 ERA with 12 saves and has been one of the best closers in the league this season.

While they may not pitch Kennedy as a closer he would be great in any role they gave him. The Dodgers should try to make a trade for Kennedy to bolster the bullpen.

2. Starting Pitcher Michael Fulmer

Michael Fulmer is a one time All Star and is a very versatile pitcher who would fit well for the Dodgers. He has been a starter and long reliever this season for the Detroit Tigers. Fulmer has picked up 4 saves as well as 4 wins on a 3.34 ERA.

With Dustin May getting hurt the Dodgers have been lacking depth at the end of the rotation. Whether Fulmer would take the role of the last starter in the rotation or if he is a bullpen piece he will make a great impact on this team.

1. Outfielder Joey Gallo

Joey Gallo is a big power hitter but has struggled so far this season. Gallo is hitting just .207 this season but has hit 11 home runs and 28 runs batted in this season. He was just an All Star back in 2019 and could get back to that form in the right situation.

Gallo has been rumored to be on the trade block due to the Rangers disappointing record so far this season. He would be a perfect fit to add to the Dodgers lineup especially with his versatility. Gallo has experience at third base, 1st base, and in the outfield. He would instantly bolster the power of the Dodgers lineup and make facing the lineup even tougher.

If the Dodgers can pull of a trade for Gallo the lineup will be set up for the rest of the season.

The Dodgers are already in a good position but making these trades would elevate the play of the team even more. They are already World Series contenders but making these trades would put the team over the top. With so many stars including Mookie Betts, Clayton Kershaw, Cody Bellinger, and many more the Dodgers are set to remain to compete every season.

This team is possibly one of the greatest teams every assembled due to the impressive amount of star power. If the Dodgers make these trades by the deadline the team will be even more lethal.

Look for the Dodgers to make another World Series run.
