The San Francisco 49ers have hit a little roadblock. One of their running backs, Matt Breida, is expected to miss one-to-two weeks due to a low-ankle sprain.

The 49ers started the year 8-0, but in Week 10 suffered their first loss of the season. That came against the Seattle Seahawks, who are now 7-2.

San Francisco has a slight advantage in this situation. While losing Breida for any amount of time is not a good thing, they have a great group of running backs to soften the blow.

On the year, Breida has 542 yards and one touchdown on 109 carries (5.0 yards per carry). He also has 16 receptions for 110 yards and one more touchdown. However, they also have Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman.

Mostert has 335 rushing yards and one touchdown on 61 attempts (5.5 yards per carry). He has added five receptions for 75 yards and another touchdown as well.

Finally, there's Coleman's 395 yards and five touchdowns on 92 carries (4.3 yards per carry). Coleman also has 106 receiving yards and another touchdown on 14 receptions.

So while losing Breida will sting, it is only for a few weeks at the most. The duo of Coleman and Mostert should be able to handle the load just fine without him for a little bit.

Still though, losing a player of Breida's caliber will sting a little bit. Especially considering the 49ers are only one game ahead of the Seahawks in the standings at the moment.

Although it's just a minor injury, it could have big repercussions for San Francisco. They should consider themselves lucky that they have so much depth at the running back position.
