With an Alabama Crimson Tide College Football Playoff game scheduled against the Cincinnati Bearcats, a lot of eyes will be on Nick Saban’s squad as they look to advance to the National Championship game. Ahead of the Alabama-Cincinnati game, we’ll be making our Alabama College Football Playoff predictions.

It’s hard to argue against the Alabama Crimson Tide as the best team in the nation. Led by legendary head coach Nick Saban and Heisman Trophy-winning sophomore quarterback Bryce Young, Alabama cruised to a 12-1 record and were victorious over the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship game.

The impressive win over Georgia fully showcased just how complete a team the Crimson Tide are, as Young fired over 400 yards of passing and three touchdowns, twice connecting with talented junior wideout Jameson Williams in the end zone. On the defensive side of the ball, sophomore stud linebacker Will Anderson Jr. made his presence felt, as did junior defensive back Jordan Battle. With their winning pedigree and talented roster, expect the Alabama Crimson Tide to roll to a well-rounded victory over the Cincinnati Bearcats.

With a win, Alabama can put themselves in a position to win their sixth national championship under Saban. With that in mind, ahead of Alabama-Cincinnati here, are our Alabama College Football Playoff predictions.

4. Bryce Young will dice up the Cincinnati secondary for three-plus passing touchdowns

Cincinnati has the second-best pass defense in the nation and are allowing just 168.3 passing yards per game. Still, the Bearcats haven’t faced a quarterback like Crimson Tide star Bryce Young, who threw for over 4,000 yards with 43 touchdowns and just four interceptions this season. Young is on an absurd run right now, with a 15:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio in his last four games. Alabama’s title hopes rest in the right arm of Young, who won’t be denied, even by one of the nation’s stingiest secondaries.

3. Jameson Williams will explode for over 150 receiving yards

Alabama quarterback Bryce Young has locked onto wideout Jameson Williams all season, but especially during his recent stretch of brilliant play. Over the last six games, Williams has totaled over 120 receiving yards in five of them and over 150 yards in four. The sophomore receiver, who has averaged over 20 yards per reception, can take the top off of a defense, even one as talented as Cincinnati’s. Look for Young and Williams to do their best Aaron Rodgers-Davante Adams impersonation in a big victory over the Bearcats.

2. Will Anderson Jr. will wreck the game en route to 2-plus sacks

Crimson Tide linebacker Will Anderson Jr. is a beast on the defensive end. Anderson led the FBS with 31.5 tackles for loss and 15.5 sacks, as he was a disruptive force all year long. Cincinnati protects quarterback Desmon Ridder well, but they might not be ready for the level of pressure a player like Anderson can apply. Anderson will not only sack Ridder at least twice, but he will also stuff talented Bearcats running back Jerome Ford multiple times, proving that he’s the most disruptive defensive force in the nation.

1. Jordan Battle will score another defensive touchdown

Cincinnati quarterback Desmond Ridder has thrown just eight interceptions this season. However, Alabama has an opportunistic secondary, led by Jordan Battle. Battle has intercepted three passes this season, has over 100 interception return yards and has scored two defensive touchdowns. The formula is simple for the Crimson Tide. Disrupt the backfield with Will Anderson Jr. and company, then wait for Battle to make a big play on the back end. Battle will pick off one of Ridder’s passes and take it to the house against Cincinnati, capping off a dominant, double-digit win for the Alabama Crimson Tide in the College Football Playoff.
