Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams suffered an awful injury early in the second quarter of the National Championship game against the Georgia Bulldogs. It was a non-contact injury for Williams, who caught a 40-yard pass from quarterback Bryce Young before he clutched at his left leg in pain. The NFL and college football world was stunned by the injury. Most notably, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes shared his reaction to the devastating injury on social media.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had the same reaction as everyone else watching Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams suffer the awful left leg injury in the National Championship game. No one wants to see something like that happen.
Not only was Williams robbed of a chance to help the Crimson Tide win the title, but it was also an awful ending to a strong season for Williams.
That's why Mahomes was so disappointed to see something like that happen to the Alabama star. He knows what it's like to feel the brotherhood and closeness with college teammates but also understands the grind it takes to make it to the NFL.
That's another devastating part of this National Championship injury to Williams. It comes just as the Alabama star was building his NFL Draft stock. ESPN's Todd McShay had him ranked as the number-six prospect available overall for the 2022 draft.
The sports world feels exactly as Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes does about the Jameson Williams injury. They hate to see it happen.
