Pretty much everyone from the Apex Legends community has been asking for Season 0’s Kings Canyon to come back. And now, after a few teases, it’s finally official! All the rumors and speculations have now come to a close as Respawn Entertainment brings back Skull Town in both Arenas mode and in the returning OG Kings Canyon. Apex Legends' Genesis Collection Event will go live next Tuesday, June 29.

We will be getting major nostalgia feels here as the Genesis Collection Event will last for two weeks. In this mode, players will be able to battle it out in Apex Legends’ first-ever map. We are getting the version of Kings Canyon before all the attacks, explosions, earthquakes, and giant dinosaurs were introduced. Finally, players will be able to participate in chaotic gunfights in everyone’s favorite point of interest, Skull Town. Not only will Kings Canyon Season 0 be joining the rotation, but Respawn has also reinstated World’s Edge back to its original form for the two-week-long event.

Earn Event-Specific Rewards during Apex Legends‘ Genesis Collection Event

As always, every event in Apex Legends comes with rewards that players can unlock by completing challenges. For the Genesis Collection Event, the reward track contains a set of new weapon charms, a skin for Wattson, and new weapon cosmetics including a legendary Charge Rifle and EVA-8. Players can earn up to 1,600 points a day and challenges will refresh daily. There will also be four unique badges for this event which will be rewarded to players who complete certain challenges.

The Genesis Collection Event will also be introducing 24 themed limited-time cosmetics that can either be purchased with Apex Coins/Crafting Materials or rewarded from Genesis Event Apex Packs. Respawn has yet to confirm the specifics regarding these limited-time cosmetics. One thing we do know though is that if a player collects all 24 items, they will be rewarded with Revenant’s Heirloom.

Since we’re going old school with the return of both Season 0 and Season 3’s map, it’ll be interesting to see how the legends who were introduced beyond these seasons play out in the vintage maps.
