EA Games have recently made their announcements on their 2nd quarter financial results the projected release of their Apex Legends Mobile game. Based on their quarterly reports, it was mentioned by Blake Jorgensen, the company's Chief Finance Officer and Chief Operating Officer, that the game is expected to be released in the latter periods of 2021.

The game was announced last 2019 to serve as a response to the growing trend of mobile games. Their rivals have already released mobile versions of PlayersUnknown Battlegrounds, Call of Duty, and Fortnite and even their indirect competitors like Riot Games have made their moves by releasing League of Legends: Wild Rift.

However this is also caused by the game's overwhelming popularity as Apex Legends was the most downloaded PS4 game in 2019 according to their fourth quarter 2020 financial reports. They even stated in their second quarter 2021 financial data that the game is projected to reach the billion dollar mark by the end of 2020 which is supported by a 44% increase in live services. The decision to introduce the mobile version of Apex Legends will provide EA the leverage needed to further enhance their financial growth.

This isn't the first time that EA has ventured to mobile as their other flagship titles specifically The Sims and FIFA have reached the scene as well. The reports indicate that EA's mobile titles are contributing to a 4% increase in net bookings per year.

Apex's expansion isn't only limited with the introduction of the mobile version as the game was already released a few days ago via Steam.
