Bandai Namco recently shared on social media what fans can expect from the upcoming Tekken 8 patch notes. It has been a little over a month since the 1.04 update launched in the game. The developers managed to address a few bug fixes and made significant changes to the majority of the roster.

This time around, it appears that the 1.05 update will be as big as its predecessor. That means many major changes are likely coming to the game. Here are all the details regarding the upcoming Tekken 8 patch notes.

Tekken 8 Patch Notes 1.05 – Upcoming Changes

Based on what Bandai Namco posted on their official Tekken X (formerly known as Twitter) page, it seems that they plan on making significant balances to the fighters. Similar to the 1.04 update, it appears that 1.05 will both buff and nerf all characters.

Character Balances

Despite the positive reviews Tekken 8 gained since launching their previous update, many players are still complaining about certain fighters being broken in either a good or bad way. Hopefully, the next patch will satisfy fans.

Kazuya, Paul, and Raven Buffs

While the developers already hinted at incoming changes to the game's fighters, they guaranteed three characters would receive buffs. These are namely Kazuya, Paul, and Raven. According to Bandai, these fighters failed to showcase their true potential. Hence the need for buffs.

This is especially true for Kazuya and Raven. Since Tekken 8 launched, fans were treated to the new and improved Raven. The ninja warrior gained the ability to use shadow clones, which now allows players to use projectile attacks. As for Kazuya, the developers infused his devil form and moveset to the base character.

Having these improvements added to their arsenal of moves, one would assume they'd be overpowered. However, the exact opposite happened and they are now in need of some buffs.

Combos and Moves Recalibration

One of the many complaints fans have about Tekken 8 is the combos and move sets. Some players find it difficult to get out of certain maneuvers. Others simply think that some specific moves are too strong. Thankfully, Bandai Namco took notice of these issues and will address them in the 1.05 update.

In addition to these adjustments, the developers also plan on balancing the damage scaling for Heat Dashes, throws, and stage gimmicks.

Aggro Plays Getting Nerfed

What many Tekken fans and veterans dislike about the latest installment of the game is that players rely too much on constantly going for the offensive. Over the years, the franchise focused more on strategic fighting. Players had to make use of their character's movements to get out of sticky situations.

Unfortunately, in Tekken 8, players who play aggressively will most likely have more chances of winning. With that in mind, many fans complained about how the game lost its 3D fighting game touch.

Bandai Namco is aware of these issues and will also address them in patch 1.05. Players will no longer be staggered after getting hit by Heat Dashes while stuck on a wall. Heat Bursts and throws will also get nerfs, making aggressive players thoroughly strategize how they're going to attack. All these changes will force players to make use of sidestepping and 3D fighting tactics.

No More Major Updates After Patch 1.05

Bandai Namco made it clear on X that they no longer plan on releasing major updates for the remainder of Season 1 after patch 1.05 goes live. Moving forward, the developers plan on launching updates that address mostly bug fixes.
