Sometimes a change of scenery is best for a player to better excel. And that's what receiver Cole Beasley feels with his move from Dallas to Buffalo.

Beasley is having more fun up north because of the freedom he's being given with the routes he can run for the Bills as he said on NFL Network's Good Morning Football.

“It's been a lot of fun. I wanted more opportunities. I wanted more freedom in my routes. And (OC Brian) Daboll has done a great job of giving me those things and has created a lot of opportunity for me here. And it's been a lot more fun playing out there with the guys,” Beasley said.

The 30-year-old is looking to take the next step with his new team in his play at the slot. Last season he hauled in the fifth-most receptions from the slot receiver position according to PFF. And he's looking to gain a strong rapport with quarterback Josh Allen in training camp after having to take some time away to nurse a core muscle injury earlier in the offseason.

Something else that helps give Beasley an advantage in this offense is the fact that a lot of this work with the receivers is about creating separation. Something Beasley is one of the best at doing:

It's something that the endearingly named “Papa Smurf” is excelling at with Sean McDermott's offense in place. It's something meant for receivers that aren't size mismatches.

There are no sensitive guys over here. We're guys who can separate. We have a lot of pride in that, and there are different philosophies everywhere, but the way we run our offense is fine not being 6-4, 6-3.

It looks as if Beasley has finally found his home.
