Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen received limited reps during Wednesday's practice as he tries to work back from an elbow injury that has left him sidelined the last few weeks. Allen was starting to play better football before the elbow injury and he is itching to get back for a game.

“I felt the last two games I played in I was playing good football, putting the ball where it needed to be and making the right decisions,” Allen said via NFL.com. “Keeping the ball out of harm's way and we saw ourselves win against the Titans and we were in the game late against Houston. Things were just starting to slow down for me, so I'm anxious to get back out there and see if that can continue. With the help of (offensive coordinator Brian) Daboll and (Derek Anderson) and the guys we have in the room I think it will.”

Allen's stats haven't looked impressive this year throwing for 832 yards, two touchdowns, and five interceptions but he has looked more comfortable on the field and at times has shown flashes of why the Bills took him with a first-round pick.

It's still unclear if the Bills will run him out there Sunday against the New York Jets. If the Jets don't start him this weekend the bye is next week so he would have an extra couple of weeks to make sure that he is fully healthy. If he can't go it will be the Nathan Peterman show again as Derek Anderson is still in the concussion protocol.
