The Portland Trail Blazers were on the brink of losing Game 5 against the Denver Nuggets. Enter Damian Lillard.

With the Blazers down three points with just a few seconds remaining in regulation, Lillard took it upon himself to send the game to overtime with this insane game-tying step-back triple (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

Everybody knew what the Blazers were going to do in this particular play. There was very little doubt that Damian Lillard would end up taking up the final shot for Portland. The Nuggets took a huge risk by putting single coverage on Dame and he definitely made them pay. Lillard created just the right amount of room with his step-back dribble and he casually drained the clutch trey.

Lillard came up big for the Blazers in the dying moments of this game. Prior to his game-tying triple, the Blazers star also came up with a huge steal on the other end against Nuggets guard Austin Rivers. Lillard led the break and ended up finding backcourt partner CJ McCollum for a wide-open triple.

With the series virtually on the line, Dame came up clutch for his team. We did not expect anything less from arguably one of the greatest shooters of all time.
