As a result of Whiteside being sidelined against the Philadelphia 76ers along with Zach Collins and Pau Gasol, the Blazers went with Anthony Tolliver and Mario Hezonja as their frontcourt. They may not need to do that against the Warriors if Whiteside is able to play, which is likely given conisdering he is listed as probable.

The Warriors are expected to start Willie Cauley-Stein at the center spot, so having a larger body like Whiteside to be able to match up with him would be ideal. It is also an ideal situation for the Blazers to re-integrate Whiteside and build some momentum given how underwhelming the Dubs have been to start the season.
