The Cleveland Browns were slapped with some serious allegations by former coach Hue Jackson back in February. He claimed that he was particularly incentivized to lose games, in conjunction with a similar claim made by Brian Flores on his stint with the Miami Dolphins.

Jackson later on reneged on his claims. But that didn't stop investigations from being conducted on the matter, which was a serious affront on the integrity of the game.

According to an ESPN report, the NFL confirmed that they engaged with former SEC chair Mary Jo White to look into the matter as an outside investigator. Cleveland was said to be in full cooperation with the probe.

The Browns released a statement on the matter as well.

Via ESPN:

“Even though Hue recanted his allegations a short time after they were made, it was important to us and to the integrity of the game to have an independent review of the allegations,” team spokesman Peter Jean-Baptiste said. “We welcomed an investigation and we are confident the results will show, as we've previously stated, that these allegations are categorically false.

The Browns won just three games out of the 40 total coached by Hue Jackson during his two and a half seasons at the helm.
