The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been the hottest team in the NFL after winning seven straight games, including three road playoff games, and are now hosting Super Bowl LV.

On the daily Locked On Bucs podcast, hosts James Yarcho and David Harrison discussed how the Bucs are in a great position to take home the Lombardi Trophy behind the play of Tom Brady. The goal all season was to get to the Super Bowl behind all of the offseason signings and they achieved it.

Yarcho: It is not always the best team that wins the Super Bowl. It is the team that is playing the best football when it matters the most. The Tamp Bay Buccaneers now have won seven games in a row. They closed out the final quarter of the 2020 season by going 4-0. They have now won three straight road playoff games and they get to play in the Super Bowl in their house. Cannons will be firing; they will be pumped. The NFL and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be giving 7,500 tickets to vaccinated frontline healthcare workers to show their appreciation for their hard work. Look, those frontline workers are going to be Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans. There will be a whole lot of red in that stadium cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and it is exciting. It does not matter what happens in the Super Bowl at this point, this season was a success with Tom Bray, Ron Gronkowski, Leonard Fournette, drafting Tristan Wirfs in the first round just for the opportunity to play in this game. You have gotten there. What a year it has been.
