Former Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette is reportedly gearing up to join the surging Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With the two sides in agreement on a one-year deal after Fournette was only recently released by the Jaguars, the Buccaneers newcomer can earn maximum of $3.5 million in 2020, according to a report from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

It is also worth noting that Fournette will reportedly received a $2 million base salary while all of the incentives attached to his new deal are based upon rushing yards and playing time.

The Buccaneers have quickly went from pretenders to contenders in a big way throughout this offseason while Tampa Bay's roster is absolutely stacked. With just a few weeks left on the calendar before the 2020 regular season, Fournette has now solidified a ridiculous group of talented weapons on the offensive side of the line of scrimmage in Tampa Bay.

While Fournette has become the latest piece of the puzzle to fall into place for the Buccaneers, Tampa Bay's resurgence began early on in the offseason as former New England Patriots quarterback and future Pro Football Hall of Famer Tom Brady elected to join the NFC South franchise via free agency. Not only that, but another former Patriots standout in once retired tight end Rob Gronkowski also joined in on the fun down in Florida while now being paired with a dynamic duo at wide receiver with Chris Godwin and Mike Evans already in place.

Scary isn't even a strong enough word to use to describe the Buccaneers offense at this point.
