Former Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette seems to be taking his release from the organization in stride.

Fournette has released a statement on his release, primarily thanking the city of Jacksonville for embracing him and the Jaguars organization for giving him the opportunity.

First, I want to thank the city of Jacksonville and all of the fans for embracing me the past 3 seasons. We have been through some ups and downs but y'all have had my back through it all. You have my deepest respect and appreciation.

I would like to thank the Jaguars organization for giving me the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream of playing in the NFL.

To all of my brothers in the locker room from 2017 until today, y'all are family for life. I wish each of you the absolute best in your careers.

I am excited about what will come next for myself. Wherever that may be, know that you will get a player who is focused, motivated, and ready to get to work.

God is great.

This statement is a very mature one for the fourth-year pro. This is a good way of not burning bridges with his former team on his way out and his last paragraph sells himself to franchises who may look to sign him. While no teams have officially shown interest, some teams have answered questions in regards to the potential of signing Fournette, and there are a number of teams in the NFL who would be wise to look into signing him.

Only time will tell where he will land.
