The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ high-octane offense once again orchestrated a stout performance, as wide receiver Mike Evans led the way in the crucial 31-15 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC wild-card round.

Evans formed keen chemistry with quarterback Tom Brady, as he hauled in nine receptions for 117 receiving yards and one touchdown. Regardless of the situation at hand, Evans continued to find success in weaving into open space on the field to create chaos against the Eagles secondary.

Even as tight end Rob Gronkowski has only been teammates with Evans for a mere two seasons, he has been much impressed with not only the receiver's play on the field but also his sheer professionalism as a teammate.

“What makes him so impressive is his consistency,” Gronkowski said in his post-game press conference. “He's super selfless.

“It's an honor to be his teammate.”

With Chris Godwin (torn ACL) and Antonio Brown (cut) not available for the Buccaneers’ playoff run, the team has needed Evans to up his play – and he has done just that as of late. Overall, the veteran wideout has recorded 253 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns in Tampa Bay’s last three games.

Reigning Super Bowl 55 MVP winner Tom Brady sure will call upon Evans plenty of times in the NFC divisional round next week.
