DeSean Jackson would like to be done with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by Tuesday’s trade deadline. The veteran wideout has recently requested a trade away from the Buccaneers, which they have refused to grant, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Jackson, 31 is having a strong bounce-back season for the Buccaneers after last year’s disappointing debut campaign. With Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback, he started this season on fire as he topped 100 yards in three of the team’s first four games.

However, he has cooled off significantly since Jameis Winston’s return from suspension. He has just six catches for 102 yards with no touchdown in his last two games. All in all, he's got 23 catches for 526 yards and three touchdowns through six games.

Jackson is on a fairly reasonable contract — he’s making $11 million this year and has an unguaranteed $10 million next year — which they could be able to move. There are still teams in the market for a wide receiver, including Jackson’s former team, the Philadelphia Eagles.

And with Jackson’s combination of decent contract and proven track record, it’s no surprise that he’s garnering much interest.

At 3-3, the Buccaneers are not yet completely out of the playoff race and could very easily decide to hang on to veteran playmaker to help their postseason push.

But with second-year wideout Chris Godwin, they do have a ready-made replacement to take Jackson’s spot as the second receiving option behind Mike Evans if the Bucs receive an offer they can’t refuse for Jackson in the coming days.
