Former Milwaukee Bucks star Michael Redd was present in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals to watch his former team go head-to-head against the Boston Celtics.

Michael Redd was selected 43rd overall by the Bucks in the 2000 NBA draft. He played 11 seasons with the team and was able to lead them as far as the playoffs three times. Although he wasn't able to help them win a championship, the one-time All-Star emerged as one of the best players in the franchise's history. It took some time for him to develop, but when he did, he became one of the best shooters in the league.

The peak of Redd's career was in 2006, when he played his best season for the Bucks by averaging 26.7 points per game. He was clearly on the rise and was given proper recognition by the league. He was part the national basketball team that won the FIBA Americas championships back in 2007 and the Olympic Gold Medal in 2008.

Unfortunately, Redd's career was cut short by injuries. He suffered a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee back in 2009. He returned one year later and re-tore those muscles in the same knee. He played one more season in the NBA when he signed with the Phoenix Suns during the 2011-12 season, but it was clear that he was no longer the same player.

In November of 2013, Redd announced his retirement.

Giannis Antetokounmpo may be the Bucks' best player at the moment, but the responsibility of making that franchise relevant was once carried by Redd. He wasn't able to give them much success, but he was the main reason why fans kept on watching the team despite their mediocrity during the 2000s.
