Giannis Antetokounmpo's streak of double-doubles to start the season came to a halt in the Milwaukee Bucks' dominant victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday. The 6-foot-11 forward fell just one rebound short of notching the double-doubles, ending his streak at 19.

Antetokounmpo said he wasn't aware that he needed just one rebound to extend his streak. And quite frankly, he doesn't care either. The Greek Freak, likewise, reiterated that he simply isn't built like that and doesn't lose sleep over his stats.

“That is not how I am built,” Antetokounmpo said via ESPN. “I am not built around stats. Obviously, I am just here to win.”

This is a great mindset from the reigning MVP.

Perhaps the stat that Antetokounmpo is concerned with is that they are 17-3 on the season. And the streak he would like to extend is their current 11 game winning streak as of the moment.

Antetokounmpo finished with 26 points, nine boards, and four dimes in their 137-96 home win. He did all of his damage in just 20 minutes of light work.

The Bucks have to be happy with giving Giannis just 20 minutes last night. Though it comes at the cost of streaks such as this ending, it's pretty clear with his statement that Antetokounmpo just wants to win. Keeping him fresh throughout the regular season will ensure that he is healthy and ready to embark on their journey towards an NBA championship come April.

The reigning MVP looks highly motivated to bounce back from a disappointing exit in last year's Eastern Conference Finals, where they lost four straight game to the eventual champion Toronto Raptors.
