The Milwaukee Bucks may have lost in the Eastern Conference Finals, but they're clearly one of the teams with the brightest future in the NBA. MVP frontrunner Giannis Antetokounmpo knows that, and he's glad that the fans are starting to realize their potential too.

In his exit interview, Giannis said that that he's glad to see fans being excited about their future, something that he hasn't seen when he first arrived in Milwaukee five years ago.

“This journey has been unbelievable. I am invested so much because I know what we started from. Five years ago people knew about the Bucks but they wasn't excited about the Bucks. Now, they're excited,” Giannis said, per Malika Andrews of ESPN.

The Bucks finished the regular season with the best record in the league and immediately looked dominant in the playoffs. They swept the Detroit Pistons in the first round and took care of the Boston Celtics in five games in the second. They faced the Toronto Raptors in the conference finals and quickly jumped to a 2-0 lead. Back then, it looked like Milwaukee was bound to make their first Finals appearance since 1971.

But the Raptors shocked them and the rest of the league when they won four straight games. Toronto used a suffocating defense on Antetokounmpo, and he struggled mightily in Games 3 to 6. He helplessly walked off the court as the Raps celebrated their series victory.

The Bucks will definitely look to bounce back. Their core is intact, and with a few roster tweaks, they might actually get the job done next season. They were two wins away from advancing to the NBA Finals, which speaks volumes in terms of how good they are as a team.

Giannis will surely do everything that he can to finish what the team has started this season.
