A couple of weeks after Frank Mason III signed a two-way deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, his agent Isaiah Garrett opened up about Frank's ill-fated stint with the Sacramento Kings.

In an interview with Matt Tait of KU Sports, Garrett said that although they are thankful for their time with the Kings, he believes that the team wasn't the right fit for the incoming third-year guard.

“Frank’s always been hungry,” Garrett said. “I don’t think he ever lost that. Sacramento just wasn’t the right fit. The opportunities weren’t there for him. We have a great relationship with Sacramento. They have a great organization and it was a blessing for them to go ahead and waive Frank as early as they did so he could find a new home. He’ll continue to work hard and make the best of his situation with Milwaukee.”

Mason, the 34th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, played in only 90 games for the Kings over the past two seasons, averaging 6.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists. Although he showed potential, Mason wasn't able to fully showcase what he can really do in Sacramento, as he was playing behind De'Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield.

The Kings waived Mason last month before he found his way to the Bucks. It is unclear if he will get more opportunities in Milwaukee, but a two-way contract suggests that he'll spend a lot of time in the G-League.

Still, Mason is excited about this new opportunity. He has a chance to play for a championship contender, and the experience of sharing the court with reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is something that he will definitely make the most out of.

For now, Mason cannot worry about an increased role. All he needs to do is to prove himself, and Garrett believes his client will do just that.
