Alex Caruso's injury has left a void in the Chicago Bulls' rotation. His defense and shooting were greatly impactful and helped them reach a surprising level of success. Although they have been able to maintain it throughout his month-long absence from action, they could really use him back.

Caruso has endured injuries previously this season but the one he is currently dealing with is the fault of Milwaukee Bucks guard Grayson Allen. His hard foul on Caruso in a January game between Milwaukee and Chicago forced him into an awkward landing that necessitated wrist surgery. He has been sidelined ever since.

Caruso said Allen never reached out to him but he also said that he isn't mad at the situation anymore despite his lengthy absence from the Bulls lineup.

Allen's play on Caruso may have drastically shifted the whole championship-contention scene, as the Bulls' inability to beat the best teams in the league has damaged their championship outlook. Although Caruso averages just 8.4 points per game, his skills are greatly important to the Bulls. His fantastic defense takes the pressure off off their All-Star duo and he can also shoot triples and pass reliably.

Fortunately, Caruso is making progress and could come back soon. The Bulls will greatly welcome him back so that he can aid DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine in their quest for a championship. There isn't a date set for him to return, but the Bulls certainly hope that it is as soon as possible.
