It’s been no secret that the Chicago Bulls and Dwyane Wade have not had the best of relationships over the past few months. There are multiple reasons reported as to why the veteran shooting guard is unhappy with the team, and many believe that a buyout of his contract will happen before the season starts, which will allow him to sign elsewhere. Although nothing has materialized yet, it seems inevitable at this point, however, the problem is both sides have not been communicating with each other.

According to Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype, it's been two months since Wade last spoke with the Bulls. It may be a real cause of concern if it continues, as it will further widen their gap, and could delay talks for the buyout.

“To say that the relationship between Dwyane Wade and the Chicago Bulls’ front office is strained would be an understatement. Wade hasn’t communicated with management in over two months, which is why there have been numerous reports suggesting a buyout is inevitable.”

Wade surprised many last summer when he decided not to re-sign with the Miami Heat, where he spent the first 13 years of his career, and join his hometown team. While he had a good relationship with Jimmy Butler, speculation emerged that his younger teammates could not stand him following the Butler trade and apparently wanted him off of the team. He is also reportedly unhappy with the direction of the Bulls, as they plan to rebuild around young players, something he likely has no interest in.

The Heat, Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers are believed to be the most appealing teams to him should a buyout be reached, but there’s also a possibility that another franchise will pursue him, as he can still be a solid contributor at this stage in his career. If there’s still some hope left for Bulls fans that both parties can work things out and extend their partnership, it may not be a bad idea to start preparing themselves to see Wade wearing another team’s jersey soon
