The Chicago Bulls are looking to add another body to their backcourt. Just a week after inking former Kentucky Wildcats court general Tyler Ulis to a two-way deal, the Bulls are reportedly interested in inking point guard Shaquille Harrison to a contract, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The Bulls are planning to sign guard Shaquille Harrison to a deal. Harrison arrived to Chicago this weekend, joining NBA team after his release from Phoenix on Monday.

The Bulls currently have three point guards on their regular roster with Kris Dunn on top of the pecking order followed by Cameron Payne and Ryan Arcidiacono. Dunn has yet to play this season due to personal matters, but he’s expected to make his season debut this Monday against the Dallas Mavericks.

Assuming that Shaquille Harrison puts pen on paper, the Bulls will likely have him compete with Payne for the main backup role behind Dunn.

According to Darnell Mayberry of the Athletic, in order for the Bulls to accommodate Harrison, the team has decided to waive Omer Asik. The veteran big man was traded to Chicago earlier this year together with a draft pick in exchange for Tony Allen, Jameer Nelson, and Nikola Mirotic.
