Chicago Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic is having a whirlwind of a season. It's probably nothing like any player has experienced or most fans have ever seen.

He broke his jaw two days before the Bulls' 2017-18 campaign started, moved away from the team, proceeded to miss 23 games, came back better than ever and averaged a team-leading and career-high 17.1 points per game, and now he's the Chicago Bull most likely to be traded on or before the trade deadline.

It's like riding a roller coaster while on a carousel.

Nevertheless, Mirotic is still being positive. Knowing that he might be dealt soon, he's just reminiscing about his best days with the Bulls, including when he was playing alongside the “best teammate” he ever had. Joe Cowley of Chicago Sun Times quoted the Bulls veteran as saying the following:

“[Rajon Rondo] is such a good guy, such a good professional, does everything so right… he is the best teammate I ever had.”

“I’ve had some teammates or people that just showed up when something good was happening, not bad. He understood about sticking together and getting guys on the same page. I really love him for who he is. When [the Bulls] cut him [last summer], I was really disappointed because I wanted him on my team at least another year. But this is the NBA, and we’re all moving on.’’

“I learned a lot from Rajon… there’s no doubt that having him as a teammate has helped me [deal] with things, even this year.’’

The two were teammates last season when the Bulls experimented with the trio of Rondo, Dwyane Wade, and Jimmy Butler, all of which are now playing on different teams. Mirotic may soon join those three in being an ex-Bull, as the trade talks with the Utah Jazz aren't dying down.
