Robin Lopez wants to wear a Chicago Bulls uniform next season.

Lopez, who will become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, told Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald that he wants to play for Chicago again.

The 31-year-old Robin Lopez is in the last year of a three-year deal which pays him $14.3 million this season. He has played for the Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers and New York Knicks in his 11-year NBA career. Based on what Lopez told McGraw, it seems he wants to finish his playing days in the Windy City.

Lopez was a part of the blockbuster trade which sent 2011 NBA MVP Derrick Rose to the Knicks in 2016. Lopez's primary weapon on offense for then-Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg was a mid-range jump shot. Last year, he relied on that shot less often as his scoring average and playing time dipped.

There's a good chance Lopez will return to the Bulls next season. If that happens, his chemistry with Zach LaVine should help Chicago as it goes through its rebuilding phase.

Not to mention the veteran presence he provides to a relatively young team with playoff aspirations.

With a healthy Lauri Markkanen in tow, the Bulls should also make some progress in the 2019-20 NBA campaign.
