Zach LaVine and the Chicago Bulls have been raising eyebrows for their seemingly new brand of play this season. While they still have a lot to learn, it's a welcome sight to see LaVine finally be recognized as one of the league's elit. And not just that, he's also rejuvenating a franchise that hasn't seen success in a long time.

As of this writing, the Bulls sport a decent 16-18 record for 10th in the East. This is a notable achievement given that they won just 22 games in the past two seasons. According to LaVine, the team's brand new mindset is the main driver for their relative success.

“I think our mindset of just continuing, not being down on ourselves. We always have fight,” Zach LaVine said when asked where he has seen the most growth from the Bulls in the season’s first half, per K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports. “It doesn’t matter if we get down 20. I think we always have a chance of coming back.”

Billy Donovan, in his first year as the Bulls' head coach, should be given credit for instilling a winning system. But like LaVine, he's not resting on his laurels just yet. Yes, Chicago has been making great leaps, but there's a lot more to be done.

“They really have made really good progress. It’s not where we want to be. We’re not satisfied where we are at. We’ve got to keep striving to raise a level of play and a standard that is better than it was today. That’s the challenge,” Donovan said.

The Bulls have won six of their last 10 games. They will face the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday before the All-Star break.
