Longtime NFL wide receiver Anquan Boldin quickly became one of the best pass-catchers to ever do it atop the highest level. Originally selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the 2003 NFL Draft out of the heralded Florida State University, Boldin notably played both his high school and collegiate football within the state of Florida.

As a result, making the trip from Florida all the way to the desert of Arizona was quite the change for the prolific wideout. Not only that, but Boldin had never even seen the Cardinals play football on television prior to being selected by the NFC West franchise all the way back in 2003.

“I remember being drafted to the Arizona Cardinals and then realizing I had never seen them play on TV,” Boldin recently said during an interview on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM.

Boldin ultimately became a Cardinals legend in addition to serving as a key piece of the puzzle for a franchise that won back-to-back division titles and one NFC Championship, though Arizona was unable to overcome the Pittsburgh Steelers upon reaching the Super Bowl. Although it did not come as a member of the Cardinals but rather the Baltimore Ravens, Boldin did win a championship as a result of his stellar 14-year NFL career.

In addition to playing for both the Cardinals and Ravens along the way, Boldin also suited up for the San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions and Buffalo Bills before eventually hanging his cleats up for good in 2017.
