First-year head coach Kliff Kingsbury, entering his first training camp and season with the Arizona Cardinals, isn't going through the rigmarole of his debut season on the NFL sidelines without asking for some help.

Kingsbury, 39, has reportedly spoken to other head coaches in the professional football league.

Kingsbury also has talked with other head coaches in the league – particularly those who have been heavily involved in coaching quarterbacks and running the offense.

“I think there are a lot of different ways you can set it up,” Kingsbury said. “You see people around the league who are heavily involved in playcalling, some that take more of the CEO approach, and all have been wildly successful. It’s all how you set it up, the type of people you have around you and how you build your staff.”

Kingsbury was a late-comer to the NFL head coach rumors after he had already agreed to be USC's offensive coordinator. Following interviewing with several teams with head coach vacancies, like the New York Jets, the Cardinals hired Kingsbury, who had spent six seasons with Texas Tech, devising their offense, and working with now-MVP Patrick Mahomes during the Kansas City Chiefs' quarterback's days at Tech.

Now, Kingsbury will be tasked with grooming Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray, who was the Cardinals' first overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Murray, known for his athleticism and impressive arm strength at his 5-foot-10 size, will be under Kingsbury's coaching as the two enter the league together with high expectations.
