The Boston Celtics are struggling immensely this season as they currently sit at 18-20. The C's have lacked any type of consistency, but that's also come down to the enormous amount of COVID-19 absences and injuries. Whatever the reason, some changes could be made at the trade deadline next month and Brad Stevens certainly hinted at that recently in an interview with Toucher and Rich.

Via Keith Smith:

The Celtics are actually in pretty good shape right now, with only Payton Pritchard and Brodric Thomas sidelined. But, for most of the campaign, there's usually been key players out like Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Dennis Schroder, or Marcus Smart, among others. That being said, it's been very hard for Ime Udoka's squad to build chemistry, which has definitely played a part in their woes.

Again, as Stevens said, it will be difficult for the Celtics to do this when COVID-19 is hitting the NBA at an alarming rate. But, with Tatum now back in the mix after a bout with the virus and Brown showing out lately, it's a step in the right direction. The former Cal standout has posted 30+ points in five of his last eight games, including a 50-piece on January 2nd.

However, it's also important that Boston receives more consistency from the entire rotation. In a loss to the Spurs on Wednesday, there was little production outside of Brown and Tatum. This is a franchise that's used to winning which means it won't be surprising to see Brad Stevens make some sort of changes for the betterment of the organization in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned.
