Finally, Dennis Schroder has a team. After overplaying his cards with the Los Angeles Lakers, Schroder has agreed to a much cheaper deal with the Boston Celtics.

In what could only be viewed as a minor tragedy, Schroder now finds himself in an awkward situation. He found himself as the odd-man out with the Lakers and now has joined their bitter rival.

Celtics veteran big man Al Horford, however, is looking past Schroder's offseason drama already. In fact, he was fired up on Twitter after learning they got the feisty point guard from Germany.

Of course, Horford is no stranger to Schroder's talents, as they were teammates for a few years with the Atlanta Hawks. Horford witnessed how Schroder improved every year, finding his niche as a spark plug at the PG spot.

With the Celtics badly in need of a legit playmaker with the departure of Kemba Walker, Schroder can instantly fill the void. Despite the bitter ending with the Lakers, the 27-year-old Schroder played better than expected for the Purple & Gold, even stepping up during the long absences of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Curiously, Horford and Schroder also suited up for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the past, so they sure have a lot of common ground. This should only help Schroder regain his confidence after what turned out to be a nightmare offseason for him.

Dennis Schroder is expected to get the Celtics' starting spot and join possibly Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Al Horford, and Robert Williams in the first unit.
