Boston Celtics’ All-Star Jaylen Brown was honest about his team’s performance after the Celtics’ lost to the Charlotte Hornets.

Brown, who has become a more reliable and consistent player this season, said the C's did not match the Hornets’ energy throughout the game hence why they lost a crucial game, at least standing wise. After Sunday’s loss, Boston dropped to sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Brown added that Sunday’s game seemed like how the Celtics started the season—quite up and down. After the All-Star break, Brown and his team managed to start winning games and even went on a run. They were once a below .500 team but eventually managed to climb the standings. In the last 10 games, the Celtics have won seven which is definitely a glass-half-full way to look at their current two-game losing streak. Brown certainly is staying on the positive side of things.

Brown led Sunday’s game with 20 points and eight rebounds. His teammate, Jayson Tatum also contributed 19 points and 11 rebounds but the duo couldn’t control the game like they normally do. The Celtics, who made it to the Eastern Conference finals last playoffs, need to figure out how to win their next few games in order to attain a comfortable spot in the standings.

Luckily for Boston, they have a couple of winnable games in the next following days. They’ll be going up against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Charlotte Hornets, San Antonio Spurs and Portland Trail Blazers next. It’s going to be interesting to watch where the Celtics end up in the standings and who they will eventually match up with come playoff time.
