Jaylen Brown had a memorable outing on Sunday as he led the Boston Celtics to a 112-96 win over the Orlando Magic. The 24-year-old torched the Magic for 34 points on no less than 10 three-pointers, which apparently, was just one shy of teammate Marcus Smart's franchise record of 11 triples in a single game.

When Brown learned about this, he admitted that things may have not ended the way that they did had he known about the record earlier (h/t Jay King of The Athletic):

Brown went 10-of-18 on his three-point attempts against the Magic, and with the way he was shooting the ball on Sunday, he definitely would have been able to smash Smart's record had he gone for “five or six more” attempts.

This was a huge win for Boston with the team losing four out of their last five games prior to Sunday's matchup, which included a 117-110 defeat at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers last week. The Celtics' win over the Magic puts an end to what was a three-game losing skid as Brown and Co. look to get back to winning ways.

They better make sure they do as the race in the Eastern Conference is getting really tight right now. At 21-21, a playoff spot is anything but guaranteed for the Celtics at this point. There are more than a few teams out East that are gunning for a postseason berth this term, and if they don't shape up right now, Boston could see themselves unceremoniously ousted from the playoffs picture. That would be an absolute disaster.
