The Boston Celtics' dominant victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday marks Kemba Walker's first win against LeBron James on his 29th attempt.

Walker entered Monday's duel in TD Garden 0-28. But after four quarters, Walker's win-loss record against James now stands at 1-28. The record involves James' Miami Heat days and second stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In their 139-107 pummeling of the Lakers, Walker finished with 20 points, four rebounds, and seven assists. He was 8-of-13 from the field, 2-of-4 from deep, and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line.

Walker Leads Celtics To Dominating Victory Over Lakers

The Celtics led by as much as 34 points. They shot at a scorching hot clip of 55.9 percent from the field and 47.1 percent from deep. The Lakers, meanwhile, were held to just 43.8 percent from the field and 26.9 percent from downtown.

Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 27 points, followed by Jaylen Brown who had 20 points. Enes Kanter fooled around and got a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

The Lakers were in full power as Anthony Davis and Rajon Rondo returned to the line up after missing some games. However, playing limited minutes, Davis just had nine points and four rebounds. He shot 3-of-7 from the field. Rondo had 13 points and three assists and was the few bright spots of the Lakers. James, meanwhile, crawled his way to 15 points on 5-of-12 shooting. He also had 13 assists.

Monday's win over James and the Lakers marks another milestone in Walker's resume donning the Celtics jersey. Not only has he helped turn things around for the team, but he's also making strides in his personal career.

The win also snaps the Celtics' three-game slump. They will face the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday before going on a three-game road trip on Friday starting with the Orlando Magic.
