Kevin Garnett once believed anything is possible. As it turns out, coaching the Boston Celtics is an exemption.

The Celtics made waves early on Wednesday with news regarding a couple of changes within the organization as Danny Ainge's retirement paved the way for Brad Stevens' promotion. Stevens will now be spearheading the Celtics' basketball operations, leaving the coaching spot up for grabs.

Names like Jason Kidd and Lloyd Pierce, among others, were floated around but wildcard ideas such as Kevin Garnett also entered the conversation.

This prompted the 2008 champion to immediately squash all the talk involving his name.

Garnett is well-loved by Celtics fans. His arrival in Boston back in 2007-08 breathed life back to the franchise, resulting in an NBA Finals victory over their rivals in the Los Angeles Lakers. The recently-enshrined Hall of Famer provides a wealth of knowledge that some of today's players can attest to after having the opportunity to train with Garnett.

That said, assuming a head coaching position seems like an odd job for Garnett, considering his fiery demeanor. Can you imagine him trash-talking opposing players, coaches, and even game officials while calling the shots for the Celtics?

The Celtics are unlike the Brooklyn Nets wherein having three superstars makes life easier for a rookie coach. Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kemba Walker are All-Stars but they're not at the same level as their recent tormentors.

No one will ever question Garnett's Celtic pride. He loves the team so much that he won't risk its future by taking a job he honestly feels isn't fit for him.
