Mike Brown gave Kyrie Irving a lot of credit for the strides he’s shown in locating his open teammates on the floor. The Golden State Warriors assistant coach believes that making plays for others is no longer an issue for the Boston Celtics All-Star.

Brown recently said that watching a lot of film has made Irving an improved distributor of the ball, especially in the corner for open shots to his teammates, which has been one of the reasons why the Celtics own the best record in the league so far.

Just last week, Kyrie Irving suffered a minor facial fracture after getting inadvertently hit by his teammate on the face. He missed one game due to it, but already returned on Tuesday versus the Brooklyn Nets wearing a mask. The protection did not appear to cause distraction to him, as he finished with 25 points and five assists, and more importantly, helping the Celtics extend their winning streak to 13 games.

Mike Brown is definitely familiar with Irving’s game, having coached him during their days with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
