The Kansas City Chiefs are Super Bowl-bound. In continuation of their now-two week tradition, Patrick Mahomes and Co. stormed back against an AFC South foe at Arrowhead Stadium to advance in the NFL playoffs.

Once down 10-0 early, the Chiefs, by the hand of Mahomes, came back to eventually create a 21-17 lead entering halftime of the bout, capped off by a 27-yard run by the third-year MVP with 11 seconds in the first half.

The Chiefs' Andy Reid offense handled business after a slow start. recording 404 total yards as compared to the Titans' 295. They did so while averaging 6.3 yards per offensive play, 1.2 yards more than Tennessee.

Mahomes had his usual outstanding performance in the AFC Championship-clinching game. The Texas Tech product went 23-of-35 passing for 294 yards and three touchdowns, good for a 120.4 passer rating. Tyreek Hill caught a pair of touchdowns while Sammy Watkins caught the other.

Mahomes also led the Chiefs in rushing. On eight attempts, he recorded 53 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Damien Williams used his 17 attempts to amass 45 yards and a score.

While the Chiefs' offense lived up to expectations, their rush defense blew their expectations out of the water. Titans running back Derrick Henry had an abnormal game on the ground, tallying 69 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries, good for 3.6 yards per attempt. Ryan Tannehill threw for 209 yards and two touchdowns on a 67.7% completion rate.

The Chiefs will face the winner of the NFC — either the San Francisco 49ers or Green Bay Packers — in the Super Bowl in Miami on Feb. 2.
