Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt burst onto the scene in the 2017 season as one of the most promising young players in the league. Despite being a rookie, he also proved to be one of the most difficult backs to bring down.

Although he finished the year as the NFL's leading rusher, it seems Hunt also paced the field in another notable category. According to a statistical breakdown from Matt Harmon of NFL.com, he was the most elusive back in the entire league in 2017:

Particularly during his dominant stretches to begin and close the season, Hunt was a true challenge to tackle for opposing defenders. He averaged 4.63 yards after defenders closed within 1 yard of him this season, leading all backs with 175-plus carries. If any running back personifies the term “elusive,” it's Kareem Hunt.

The feat is impressive considering the Chiefs got him with the 86th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Hunt quickly proved to be its biggest steal after a spectacular career debut against the New England Patriots in the season opener. He showed off his versatility by scoring six touchdowns combined through the first three games.

Unfortunately, it was soon followed up by a nine-game drought from the red zone which may have ultimately cost him the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year award. However, Hunt managed to stay within striking distance of the rushing crown and was able to capture it in the final game of the season, finishing with 1,327 yards and 11 total touchdowns. Furthermore, he has proven to be an integral piece to the Chiefs as they stage a massive rebuild this offseason.

On Monday, a report came out about Hunt shoving a woman outside an apartment.
