The Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills capped off an NFL weekend for the ages with one of the most incredible playoff games ever.

Patrick Mahomes, the eventual victor of a legendary showdown against Josh Allen, gave a simple 4-word reaction to the epic Chiefs win on Twitter.

“That was pretty cool!” said the Chiefs QB.

Pretty cool might be the biggest understatement of the season, as Mahomes and Allen traded haymaker after haymaker from the last two minutes onwards.

After the two minute warning, Allen went 5-of-7 for 102 yards and two Bills touchdowns, only to be outdone by Patrick Mahomes and his 10-pf-13 for 188 yards and two touchdowns, including the final one to Travis Kelce to seal the Chiefs' win in overtime.

Mahomes spoke out on the effort of Josh Allen during his on-field interview after the game, giving respect to both him and his Chiefs teammates who made the plays to complete his passes.

“It was a heck of a game,” said the Chiefs QB. “I mean 17, Josh, played his ass off. Pardon my language. It was a great game between two great football teams and at the end of the day, guys like Tyreek and Travis made the plays that won us the game.”

With Mahomes and Allen still years away from turning 30 years old, it's safe to say this won't be the last epic Bills-Chiefs clash we'll see on the big stage. But this one will certainly be hard to top.

“We’re going to play this team a lot of times in games like this. With that quarterback, with that coaching staff and the players that they have, it’s going to be a lot of battles. I’m glad we got this one.”

The Chiefs march on to the AFC Championship, with a return to the Super Bowl firmly in their sights.
