Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was named MVP of Super Bowl LIV. His career has now come full circle.

Mahomes carried on the tradition of announcing his intention to go to Disneyland after being named MVP. With that, he officially turned his dream into a reality, via Twitter:

This is certainly an interesting turn of events for Patrick Mahomes. The timing of the tweet indicates that it was posted just before he was about to begin his freshman year at Texas Tech. It is safe to say that he has now come a long way in a very short amount of time.

Following a decorated career with the Red Raiders, the Chiefs made quite the investment when they took Patrick Mahomes with the 10th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. They even took a patent approach with his development by having him sit out nearly his entire rookie year in order to learn the ropes from quarterback Alex Smith as a backup.

Kansas City's approach has undoubtedly paid huge dividends as he emerged into an MVP in his first season as a starter. He has now followed it up by getting his team over the hump and leading them to a victory in the Super Bowl while earning MVP honors once again in the process.

Patrick Mahomes will have an entire offseason to process the emotions of attaining so much success in such a short period of time. For now, he can start planning his trip to Disney World.
