The Kansas City Chiefs have been on a roll to start the season. After their 27-23 win against the Denver Broncos last Sunday, the Chiefs are now 4-0 and look like early Super Bowl favorites with the way they have been playing.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was asked if there was any significant difference with the way the Chiefs have run their offense this year and he said it was all about the mentality that new offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy has brought. Kelce shared his thoughts in an interview with ProFootballTalk:

“I think the biggest difference is the mentality,” tight end Travis Kelce recently told the #PFTPM podcast. “Coach Bieniemy brings a fierce aggressive mentality to the offense. Kind of a gritty, punch-you-in-the-mouth-type of mindset, and I think that has rubbed off on everybody, from Pat [Mahomes] throwing the ball aggressively down field. The play calling is a little bit more aggressive and, sure enough, everybody getting the ball has been a north runner. There’s not too much running sideways. Everybody’s getting downhill trying to finish the plays in the end zone.”

To be fair, the Chiefs started last year with five straight wins but ended up with just a 10-6 record. But they look to be better equipped to keep that hot start going thanks to their explosive offense.

The Chiefs have been a nightmare to guard for opponents as they have weapons at all positions. The aggressive and exciting play of quarterback Pat Mahomes has turned heads. He currently leads the leagues in touchdowns. Tyreek Hill, Kareem Hunt and Travis Kelce have all played like elite players at their position. The Chiefs are definitely one of the teams everyone needs to keep an eye on.
