Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers gave a candid response when a reporter asked him about New York Knicks' DeAndre Jordan.

Jordan was part of the Clippers' era called “Lob City,” which to most people underachieved under Rivers. That team had former All-Stars Blake Griffin and Chris Paul as its cornerstones, and for they were a fun team to watch. Unfortunately, they never got out of the second round of the playoffs, which eventually led to their breakup. Paul was traded to the Houston Rockets in 2017, and Griffin was shipped to the Detroit Pistons in last January.

Jordan then signed a one-year deal with the Dallas Mavericks last summer, but was traded to the Knicks last month.

The Clippers are standing their ground this season. They might not be as successful and as popular as the Lob City team, but they're still able to hang with the best teams in the league. They are currently the seventh-best team in the Western Conference and it looks like they may be headed to the playoffs.

Whatever happens this season, the Clippers have already positioned themselves to be major players in free agency. They have enough cap room to sign two star players to max contracts, and they are expected to go after Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard.

Maybe that's the reason why Jordan keeps on calling Rivers. He want to be in the bandwagon next season.
