The Los Angeles Clippers are facing rough odds. To beat the first-seed Golden State Warriors, the LA-based team will have to be absolutely perfect.

In Game 1, they weren't. The Western Conference's eighth seed showed its flaws in a lopsided 121-104 road loss. In particular, they couldn't do anything to stop star point guard Stephen Curry who was absolutely phenomenal.

Head coach Doc Rivers, however, doesn't blame his players for letting Steph go off. Instead, he blames himself.

If the Clippers want to shock the world and upset the Warriors, they will need to find a way to at least limit Stephen Curry, if not shut him down entirely. On Saturday, he was unstoppable, tallying 37 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists.

But part of what makes the Warriors so dominant is their depth. Efforts to shut down Curry could easily allow another All-Star like Kevin Durant or Klay Thompson to have a night of his own. The Clippers' defense will need to play the best it ever has to move on to the second round of the playoffs.

Game 2 begins on Monday night. After the game, the teams will head to Los Angeles for their next two games, starting Thursday. The Clippers will need to steal a win at Oracle Arena to have a shot in the series.
