Ice Cube, the creator of the BIG3 league and a lifelong Los Angeles Lakers fan wants no in-town competition for his purple-and-gold. That includes the Clippers, obviously.

The longtime rapper joined Bill Simmons on his podcast and explored the potential of moving the L.A. Clippers to Las Vegas or Seattle, two cities that have been awaiting the chance to have an NBA team.

“They're just here,” said Ice Cube of the Clippers. “And I think they can do a lot of good elsewhere.”

“There's a lot of cities — Seattle — that are hoping and wishing for an NBA team and we have too many. It's doing a disservice to me, to the fans.”

Cube had just come from a rant about the Los Angeles Chargers of the NFL, saying “San Diego, man… stop giving us the teams you don’t want, we don’t want them either.”

He had been a Raiders fan, stemming back to the team's days as the Los Angeles Raider from 1982-94 before they moved back to Oakland.

The Clippers have played second-fiddle to the Lakers for many, many years, and collected no championship in contrast to the Lakers' 16 — making them an afterthought.

Soon enough, the Clips saw a revival through the Lob City era with Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan during the Lakers' down years — but history is once again about to change with all the aforementioned now out of the team and LeBron James' arrival — which only begs for more playoff appearances for the Lakers.
