As the NBA's 3:00 p.m. ET came and went with a bang on Thursday afternoon, the LA Clippers found themselves unable to find a trade partner for DeAndre Jordan, according to a report from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Jordan, now 29 years of age, has heard his name tossed about in several trade scenarios in recent days. There were some experts and analysts who thought the former Texas A&M stand-out would be on the move. In fact, it was reported that the Cleveland Cavaliers were interested in making a trade for Jordan, but it seems as though the two sides failed to reach an agreement.

Without a doubt, Jordan is a force to be reckoned with in the paint. In his 47 games played for the Clippers this season, the Houston native has turned in averages of 11.5 points on 58.8 percent shooting from the field and 14.9 rebounds.

“The market for Jordan has really been depressed,” Wojnarowski during an ESPN interview on Thursday. “There is not a great deal of interest in trading for him and then signing him to a $100 million-plus extension.”

“From the Clippers' point of view, they don't want to take back long-term money on Jordan,” Wojnarowski continued. “If somebody else doesn't jump into the fray, there is a good chance that the Clippers will just keep Jordan for the rest of the season and ultimately let him expire off their cap. They'd rather do that than take back bad contracts just to get one, maybe first round pick.”

The Clippers, now the 2nd-ranked team in the Pacific Division standings with a 27-25 overall record, will be back in action on Friday night as they're scheduled to face off against the Detroit Pistons inside Little Caesars Arena. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. ET with ESPN having live broadcast coverage.
